Company History

2000 Established as CMIC CIM Co, Ltd, an education and training company for MRs in the CMIC Group.
2002 Change of name from CMIC CIM to CMIC MPSS and expansion of services to include sales consultancy.
2005 Launch of contract MR service within the CMIC group.
2008 To strengthen the sales and marketing business, the MR contract business was acquired within the Group.
2012 Began business relationship with Ashfield.
2014 Change of name to CMIC Ashfield as a joint venture between CMIC Group and the Ashfield Company.
2016 Launched Medical Affairs business.
2020 Launch of services for the Patient Support Program.
2023 Due to the rebranding of Inizio Engage, renamed as CMIC Inizio.

Contract services began in Japan in 1998 and, despite being a relative latecomer, we have grown rapidly (17.8%), far outpacing the growth rate of the CSO industry (2019-2023 CAGR: 5.7%).

As the company has grown, our service portfolio has expanded from traditional contract MR dispatching to organizational development consulting, and from commercial (sales and marketing) to medical affairs/patient services.
